The PA Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics provides a broad range of treatment and surgical options for patients with everything from mild periodontal disease to severe periodontal disease that has resulted in tooth and bone loss.  The cases presented in this photo gallery provide a glimpse of several of the complex cases that the Center has handled in recent years.

Case Study #1: Debbie

Chief Concern: Patient presents with aesthetic concerns resulting from medication-related dry mouth and generalized severe dental decay and dental phobia. She had not been to a dentist in many years. Patient desires a cosmetic solution and avoiding a lower denture during the healing phase with the use of oral sedation during the surgical procedure.
Treatment Received: Four traditionally treated dental implants on the upper jaw (patient removable bridge); six SameDay Smile® dental implants on lower jaw (doctor removable bridge). Watch video interview with Debbie

Case Study #2: Joan

Chief Concern: Patient had non-restorable recurrent decay on all upper teeth and wanted to be rid of her upper partial denture.
Treatment Received: Eight SameDay Smile® dental implants to replace her uncomfortable upper partial denture with a complete set of permanent teeth.

Case Study #3: Sue

Chief Concern: Aesthetic concerns with her upper teeth and smile; soft tissue (gum) loss; advanced periodontal disease
Treatment Received: SameDay Smile® dental implant procedure (8 implants); non-surgical periodontal therapy for lower jaw; surgical extractions of 10 teeth using bone preservation techniques; periodontal maintenance every 3 months.

Chief Concern: Aesthetic and health concerns with mouth in general; numerous loose teeth; patient desires a permanent solution
Treatment Received: 6 SameDay Smile® lower implants to replace all lower teeth and 6 traditionally treated upper implants to replace all upper teeth.

Case Study #5: Harold

Chief Concern: Patient is unhappy with his full upper denture and failing lower fixed bridgework. Patient wants a fast, comfortable, minimal down-time with a permanent solution which will not affect his TV work as an on air consultant.
Treatment Received: Extraction of all teeth; eight SameDay Smile® dental implants for upper jaw; six SameDay Smile® implants for lower jaw.

Chief Concern: Both upper central incisors need to be replaced due to root fractures.
Treatment Received: Two SameDay Smile® dental implants to replace upper central incisors.

Case Study #7: John

Chief Concern: Patient suffered from generalized advanced periodontal disease, which resulted in loose teeth, spacing between teeth and an unattractive smile. Patient was having difficulty eating as well.
