Farewell and Best Wishes to Maggie!

After providing top quality dental hygiene care for our patients for more than a decade, Maggie Rutherford, RDH, PHDHP (Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner), will be moving on to a new career as a health and wellness coach. She’ll be helping people who suffer from chronic illness by improving their health with nutrition and lifestyle changes in a relaxing, comfortable and safe environment.  She became a certified coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).

Maggie will temporarily continue her work as coordinator for the Greater Philadelphia Dental Hygiene Study Club which provides superior continuing education courses to more than 120 hygienists and expanded function assistants in the Philadelphia area.

Maggie says she will always be grateful for the incredible opportunity she has had working with Drs. Levine and Fava. “They were a driving force in always encouraging me to realize my full potential in the field of dental hygiene.”

She says that the most difficult part of leaving the practice is the realization of no longer seeing the patients she formed a bond with over the years.

“Becoming a part of each person’s life, even if only a few times a year, has meant the world to me—I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know the patients and their families and will miss their stories of graduations, weddings, grandchildren and many other special events. It has been an honor to take part in contributing to each patient’s oral and health care, and I wish continued good health and happiness for all of of my patients.”

Maggie, all of us here at the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics wish you all the best in your new career. With your vibrant personality, intelligence and compassion, we know you’ll experience wonderful success as a health and wellness coach. We’ll miss you!
