Dr. Levine wears many hats. His busy life includes “giving back” and sharing his time and knowledge while mentoring to inspire others in his field. He frequently serves as a guest lecturer throughout the country, sharing his expertise with post-graduate periodontal, implantology and prosthodontic residents, dental students and faculty at universities and dental schools. Recently, he visited The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and taught students while assisting actual live patient surgeries (he is additionally licensed to do so in North Carolina and Illinois).
The evening prior to many of these trips, Dr. Levine gives seminars to the department of periodontics/ implantology/ prosthodontics on various timely topics. His recent lecture was titled “Team Treatment Planning of Complex Dental Implant Cases and Complications.” He similarly has lectured recently at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB), University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC), Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond (VCU,) University of Pennsylvania and Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry.
UNC honors Dr. Levine each year with a dinner supported by UNC and Straumann® to thank him for his participation. The dinner is attended by residents and faculty.
So what’s he doing when he’s not in the office? He is preparing and updating his seminars and lectures for more of these events, of course!
