On Saturday, September 29th, the Growing Smiles Foundation will hold its 4th annual “Gala for Smiles” event to raise funds to provide free dental care to underserved children in Peru. More than 200 local dentists and dental students are expected to attend the special evening to be held again at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland. Tickets can be obtained online at Growing Smiles Foundation.
The fundraising evening will include great music by the 8-piece Slippery Band, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, dinner and dessert, and silent auction.
Since inception, the growing team has provided more than $450,000 in free, comprehensive dental services to more than 800 underserved Peruvian children, teenagers and adults. The group’s next dental outreach trip to Peru is scheduled for February 2019.
