Philadelphia Tri-State Area ITI Study Club
Established in 1980, the International Team for Implantology has become the largest independent academic organization in implant dentistry and the related field of tissue regeneration with over 18,000 members and Fellows worldwide. Its founding members had the vision that progress in the field of implant dentistry is best achieved if an inter-disciplinary team of clinicians and researchers collaborate closely to improve products and treatment methods on an ongoing basis and to keep abreast of the latest findings in the field. It unites professionals around the world from all fields of implant dentistry and hard and soft tissue regeneration. The organization strongly supports the premise of well-documented treatment guidelines backed by extensive clinical testing and the compilation of long-term results. As an independent academic association, it actively promotes networking and exchange among its membership. ITI Members regularly share their knowledge and expertise from clinical practice at meetings, courses and congresses with the objective of constantly improving treatment methods and outcome for the benefit of their patients.
As Fellows of the ITI, both Drs. Fava and Levine are deeply committed to the organization and strongly encourage all local dentists to do the same. ITI membership comes not only with Study Club benefits, but a great opportunity to connect with a camaraderie second to none of all dental organizations. Both doctors routinely recruit speakers that are traditionally seen on the highest podiums, all here at our Philadelphia Tri-State Area Study Club meetings sharing first-hand access to the latest innovations in the fields of implant dentistry, esthetics and regeneration, striving to improve evidence-based treatment methods for optimal patient care.
Drs. Fava and Levine feel that their participation as Fellows of the ITI has enabled them to raise their level of clinical practice by sharing techniques and knowledge with renowned leaders from around the country and worldwide. They both feel that their affiliation and continued involvement with the ITI, along with the ITI’s commitment to “raising the bar” in all areas of implant dentistry contributes to their practice success and, more importantly, to the well-being of their patients.
Dr. Levine was one of 100 representatives from around the world invited to participate in the ITI 4th Consensus Conference in Stuttgart, Germany (2008), the 5th Consensus Conference in Bern, Switzerland (2013), and the 6th Consensus Conference in Amsterdam (2018) to establish treatment protocols for implant dentistry worldwide. The ITI Consensus Conferences (every 5 years) together with the ITI funded Treatment Guides, World Symposiums and US Congresses represent the foundation for the gold standard in implant dentistry treatment guidelines.
Being a part of the ITI brings unique and valuable advantages:

THE ITI World Symposium 2020 originally scheduled for May 14-16, 2020 has been POSTPONED TO SEPTEMBER 1-3, 2021
Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre
Due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) coupled with the feedback received from our recently conducted survey, we have taken the decision to postpone the ITI World Symposium 2020 in Singapore to September 1 – 3, 2021. The rapid global escalation of the virus with the subsequent travel and other restrictions being imposed have made it impossible to hold such a large-scale meeting with international attendance at this time.
Our 14th World Symposium has been planned as a truly innovative event and we deeply regret the disruption this postponement might cause you. If you have already registered, your fee is automatically valid for 2021, but if you wish, you can get a refund without any deductions. For a refund of your registration fee, contact our registration office at iti2020@interplan.de.
The ITI World Symposium is much more than a great scientific event. It is a unique opportunity for the global implant dentistry community to meet, take part in an active exchange of knowledge, get in touch with old friends, make new friends, and take home ideas and techniques that can be put into practice immediately. This is not practicable at the moment but will certainly be so once the global health situation has normalized. It has taken us three years to plan and prepare for the World Symposium 2020, and these efforts will not go to waste. We will use the time to make the event even better and an unforgettable experience for you and our community as a whole.
Many thanks for your understanding and continuing support. We will stay in touch with you and keep you informed of the latest developments. Please check the website regularly. (www.iti.org)
We wish you good health and look forward to seeing you in Singapore in 2021.
About the ITI World Symposium
As the ITI’s flagship event that is held every three years, the ITI World Symposium sets the benchmark high and is eagerly awaited. Seventy speakers will be sharing their expertise with the 6,000 participants who are expected to attend the event. A novel approach has been taken to the scientific program of the 2020 edition that puts the patient at the center of all its deliberations. The event’s seven sessions will each be introduced by a patient scenario that sets the stage for the following presentations.
Patients will tell their story in their own words, focusing on the aspects of the medical issue that are important to them. In their presentations, speakers will be responding directly to the questions and concerns raised by the patient, talking about how their quality of life is affected and the options open to each patient. Following on from its airport-themed design in 2017, the interior design setting for the World Symposium 2020 is arrival in the beautiful city state of Singapore. This custom-built interior is in a class of its own: During the three-day Symposium at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre, participants will be able to relax in surroundings inspired by Singapore, its architecture and history, and taste a little of the city’s diverse and delicious culinary offering.
Regrettably, due to the pandemic, the all-day seminar originally scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2020 has been cancelled. All-Day Seminar. No additional ITI courses are, at this time, scheduled for 2020.
