Please Help Us Make a Difference!

We’re hosting a clothing drive for area children in need and are asking for your help!

Starting November 2024, the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics will be collecting new and gently used items at our practice locations for the organization Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia.

We’re reaching out to our patients and friends to ask you to help us assist children and families who face the challenge of clothing insecurity. Please consider helping homeless or low-income children in our areas gain access to everyday essentials they deserve to help them stay safe and warm.

How You Can Get Involved

As the organization says – It’s more than a Cause – It’s a Kid. You can help support a child in need here with a financial contribution or by adding goods to one of our donation boxes. We’re looking for the following children’s articles:

  • New socks and underwear
  • New arts and crafts and/or school supplies
  • New hygiene items
  • Unopened diapers, pull-ups and diaper wipes
  • New or gently used clothing and coats (infants – youth size 18/20 and adult sizes up to 2XL)
  • New or gently used pajamas, shoes, boots and sneakers
  • New or gently used books (ages 0-12)

Some Sobering Statistics

Cradles to Crayons reminds us how partnering with their organization can help needy children in their 2023 Poverty Profile:

• Philadelphia is the poorest big city in the country, with the highest rate of deep poverty (family of four living on less than $12k/year).

• 1 in 3 children in PA are at risk of experiencing clothing insecurity

• 1 in 3 families in the Greater Philadelphia area cannot afford daily household expenses

• 1 in 2 American adults has lost employment income since March 2002

All of us here at the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics thank you in advance for helping us make a difference. Please consider contributing financially or donating any of the goods listed above.
