The “Write” Way is the Right Way!

Dr. Levine was co-organizer and editor of a special September issue of the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, honoring the 30^th anniversary of the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons (ISPPS). He is presently vice-president of the organization. 

The issue additionally featured an article in which Dr. Levine was lead author, with co-authors Dr. Fava and other international colleagues, titled: 10 Keys for Successful Esthetic-Zone Single Immediate Implants- Importance of Biotype Conversion for Lasting Success. 

Dr. Levine has been on the Compendium’s editorial board for more than 30 years. The publication reaches 100,000 dentists worldwide. It’s a peer-reviewed, indexed publication that’s globally recognized, covering all aspects of dentistry, esthetics, periodontics and dental implantology. This special issue was dedicated to the late Dr. D. Walter Cohen who started the journal when he was dean at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. 

Dr. Levine, as a co-editor of the special issue, also discussed the origin of the ISPPS in the publication’s introduction. Also featured was a review of periodontist and “father of” periodontal plastic surgery Dr. P.D. Miller, revisiting Dr. Miller’s classification of gingival recession which is known by every dentist worldwide.
