We Were There! More Than 50 Countries Represented at ITI

Dr. Oates and Dr. Huynh-Ba

Our globe-trotting doctors recently returned from Amsterdam after attending the 6th International Team for Implantology (ITI) Consensus Conference, a leading event held every five years for dental implant professionals. Both Dr. Levine and Dr. Fava are Fellows of this prestigious association.

Dr. Levine was one of 155 presenters at the conference, his third such event. And this one, as he explained, was particularly “fantastic.”  He was one of 29 experts in an 18-country group led by Dr. Jocelyne Fein, an internationally recognized prosthodontist leader from McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Levine was specifically involved in the topic “Immediate Implant Placement and Loading from the Patient’s Perspective,” one of three papers that will be published later this year in the journal Clinical Oral Implants Research.

A fourth paper will be “Consensus Statements and Clinical Recommendations.” Other paper lead authors are Dr. Guy Huynh-Ba, a periodontics practitioner and professor from the University of Texas at San Antonio (who co-authored Dr. Levine’s paper five years ago) and Dr. Tom Oates, Chair of Periodontology and Implantology at the University of Maryland.

Not an Apple MacBook conference, honest! Group Three participants hard at work.

Hail, hail! The gang’s all here!
