COVID-19 Coronavirus: Office Update

We were thrilled to be able to re-open our office last month by instituting a strategic, multi-tiered safety approach specifically addressing the pandemic. We’ve heightened already stringent infection controls and made critical modifications in patient hours and scheduling as well as office environment logistics. By enhancing our already highest level of sterility standards we want to ensure our patients’ and team’s comfort and safety. And we’ve done so by hopefully making this as stress-free for everyone as possible.

Our multi-tiered safety approach includes:

  • The use of special virucidal (virus-killing) mouth rinses
  • Daily office “fogging” with vital oxide disinfectant (known to kill 99.999% of viruses)
  • Installation of state-of-the-art air-purging units to absorb any possible contaminants

For a full list of new safety measures, and more information on exactly how we are addressing patient scheduling, follow-up care and appointment logistics, please see our new COVID Patient Information page.

Scheduling

Our doctors are helping keep office traffic down during the pandemic for the safety of our patients, hygiene and administrative teams. We’re taking turns in the office as yet one more way to help minimize any possibility of an increase in community-spread infections. Dr. Levine, for instance, is currently in office Wednesdays and Fridays, while Dr. Fava is here Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with either doctor on Saturday as needed.

A Special Reminder to Our Patients:

Keeping up with your oral hygiene is more important than ever. Now’s the time to schedule appointments for gum treatments or other periodontal dental implant consultations you may have postponed in the spring. If you still have any concerns about your visit, please give us a call and we will be happy to explain any of our heightened safety measures. We look forward to see you!
