Dr. Fava recently spoke at the MISCH Implant Institute in Miami in a session devoted to patient assessment. He showed fellow practitioners how he creates tailored plans using the patient’s medical history, clinical examination, anatomical consideration and diagnostic imaging.
“Thorough planning on the part of the practitioner makes for informed decisions using evidence-based practices for optimal patient outcomes,” he notes.
Dr. Fava is well-known in the area for his strategic surgical implant placement, periodontal plastic surgery and tissue grafting expertise. In addition to participating in the MISCH Implant Institute, he serves as a peer instructor in the pre-doctoral program at University of Pennsylvania and has published clinical articles. Dr. Fava and his associates, Doctors Schoenebeck and Klass, conduct the Philadelphia Tri-State ITI (International Team for Implantology) Study Club, an arm of the ITI which is the largest international independent academic organization in implant dentistry.
