Dr. Levine recently spoke at the 104th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology held in Vancouver, British Columbia. 
Presenting along with his colleague, Dr. Jeffrey Ganeles, Dr. Levine discussed his initial experiences to a clinical research group who are testing an exciting new material, Fibro-Gide®, a thickened collagen material by Geistlich Biomaterial. The Swiss product is specially designed for tissue regeneration and is being used in lieu of gum grafts which would involve extracting a patient’s own gingival gum tissue from the roof of the mouth. 
Drs. Levine and Ganeles are testing the material in the U.S. before release and will report on it in a follow-up paper in the near future.
Dr. Jeffrey Ganeles is a recognized periodontist and dental implant surgeon who practices in Boca Raton, Florida. Like Dr. Levine, Dr. Ganeles is a frequent speaker both nationally and internationally.
