Full-Arch Restorations

In dentistry, we refer to the areas on which your upper and lower teeth are secured as your arches. If you are missing teeth, or have severely decayed teeth and gum disease, you may have considered dental implants to replace your missing or damaged teeth.

You know that dental implants are today’s best tooth replacement option. But you may not want to face the prospect of having all your teeth replaced with individual dental implants.

Full-arch restorations offer a more cost-effective and time-saving way of restoring your smile. We can often replace an entire arch or both arches of teeth with as few as four dental implants per arch. And you leave our office with temporary teeth.

How do Full-Arch Dental Implants Work?

Dental implants of any kind start with imaging and meticulous planning to determine exact placement of titanium posts that are surgically anchored into the jaw.

Through a natural process called osseointegration, your body’s bone cells will attach to these small but sturdy posts which act as replacement tooth roots. Porcelain crowns are attached to these posts via small parts called abutments. In the case of full-arch restorations, you’ll most likely receive a full bridge of replacement teeth (implant-supported denture) that can only be removed by a dental professional.

Here’s the key: Your resulting new “teeth” will feel normal, look normal and function just like regular teeth. You’ll be able to smile with confidence and enjoy all the foods you love with no special care other than routine maintenance at home and visits with your dental professionals. You don’t have to endure an embarrassing period without teeth while your dental implants heal since we send you home with temporary replacements.
